Bobby is a Roanoke native who has been working in real estate for over 10 years. He grew what began as a passion-project into a successful career serving the community he calls home via residential and commercial real estate development with Prime Home Buyers. Bobby focuses on helping people with their real estate needs, whether that means buying their property, providing rentals, or simply providing insight on the best solutions to their unique situation.
Prior to pursuing real estate development full-time, Bobby managed construction of large-scale apartment communities and worked in the financial industry, where he learned the ins and outs of credit underwriting and commercial loans. With first-hand experience on all sides of real estate development, Bobby is well poised to help properties, projects and partners reach their full potential.
In his current role he has handled the acquisition of over 1,000 homes and owns over 150 residential rental units in the Roanoke Valley. He also owns commercial space across the city including warehouses, auto shop, convenience store, physical therapy office, and office space. His mission is to help people and leave properties better than when he found them, which is evident in his recent projects:
- Repurposing of the old Dust-Tex warehouses at Highland Avenue and Fourth St. SE from buildings that have been boarded up for more than 10 years to multiple businesses that have changed the landscape of the Southeast neighborhood
- Massive overhaul of a long-vacant eight-unit apartment building into high-quality local housing
- Recent purchase and renovation of the Fountain Square commercial office building in Old Southwest with Jim Cherney and Mike Corswandt, which is already helping drive businesses into the building
- Renovation of more than 50 vacant, distressed homes to put back into service for residents
In real estate and beyond, Bobby thrives on helping others. He has served on the boards of the Science Museum of Western Virginia, Happy Healthy Cooks, The Grandin Theater Foundation and North Cross School Alumni board and currently serves on the board of the Blue Ridge Land Conservancy. In his free time, he enjoys spending time outside exploring with his wife and three sons.
